Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Marcus Simmons; daughter, Shirley Ruth McVay; sister, Annie Bell Mays; sister in-law MeMe Richmond.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mark Simmons and wife Melissa, Ronald Simmons Jr., Lester Simmons, Paul Simmons and wife Tammy; daughters, Charlotte Simmons and Sherri Neumon and husband Mike; brother, J.C. Richmond; sister Janet Cripps; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
