Stephanie Ann Benoit Trahan, age 55 passed away peacefully in her home in Carlyss on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Stephanie Ann Benoit Trahan was born August 6, 1966 in Jennings, Louisiana.
Stephanie worked in medical records at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital for over 11 years before becoming a full time homemaker. She was also a longtime member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss and a member of the Catholic Daughters. To say that Stephanie was an avid photo enthusiast would be an understatement! She also enjoyed cross stitching, going to concerts, and in later years she competed in pageants with her youngest daughter.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Bergeaux Landry, and her step-mother, Madeline Mitchell Benoit.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ernest J. Trahan; daughter, Kia Meaux and fiance Thomas Akins; daughter, Khranna Benoit LaCombe; daughter, Kasa Rowell and husband, Bradley; father, Ruston Benoit; grandchildren, Trystan, Anthony, Mary, Zane, Colt, Joann, and Faith; a brother, Cheney Benoit and wife, Ann; and a host of other friends & relatives.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. Luke Krzanowski officiating. Burial will follow in Istre Cemetery in Morse, Louisiana under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
