She was a native of Westlake and had been a longtime resident of Sulphur. Houston River Baptist Church was her church home. She was known by many names: Viv, Auntie, Jeep, Ma Morgan, and Maw Maw, but the most cherished of all was Mom.
Vivian leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Trudy Wooten, Susan Alexander and husband, Ray, Shirley Soileau and husband, "Big Mike", R.C. Morgan and wife, Gloria, Scuddy J. Morgan and wife, Cathy, and Sheila McNabb, all of Sulphur; one brother, Larry King of Sulphur; fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, A.C. "Sonny" Morgan; her parents, George and Katie King; her sister, Vera Koonce; and brothers, Ed, Dean, Chester, Lester, Teko, and Robert King.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will be in Royer Cemetery in Sulphur. Visitation is from 9 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
