

Born AprH 27,1922 on McNeil Island, WA before it was a penitentary.
She died Christmas Day.
She graduated from Federal Way High School in 1939.
She studied secretarial skills at Beutel Business College and worked for a time with the
railroad before joining the WAAC (Women's Army Auxilliary Corp) as a stenographer in
1943 where she served 2 years.
She met and married her husband Rellen Johnson who was in the Air Force.
After the military she and her husband traveled with the circus as he was a performer.
They eventually returned to Washington State to care for her aging mother.
She then took a position in the legal department of Weyerhaeuser Co. retiring in 1974.
They once again resumed their life of travel to many countries this time as tourists.
They eventually settled in Orting, Wa. spending winters at Lake Mead, NV.
Carolee was widowed in 2007 after 62 years and spent her remaining years doing the things she loved, her passion for reading, living independently and walking with her beloved
companion Shitsu, Malia.
She will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetary, Kent the 26th of Jan, @ 1pm with
the reception to follow at her home in the Mt.View Mobil Home Park in Orting, WA. She
was 94.
