

She was born in La Jolla San Diego on July 18th 1945 to the proud parents of Donald and Betty Kyle. She graduaded from Glendora high school in 1959. She also attendend Citrus College. She moved from Glendora California when she married Ken George and moved to Washington State where they had two children. She divorced and later remarried to the late Harold Schattenkerk of which they resided in Auburn Washington.
She was the mother of MIke and Diane George. She chose to stay home and raise her kids. Then later worked at various employer's as a chef. Her last place of work was the Muckleshoot Casino. Which she was one of the first chefs when it opened. Her speciality was her soups.
She was first and foremost a care taker of her family. She help raise and take care of her grandkids. You couldn't think of a better person to have around if you were not feeling well.
She was an avid reader who would read multiple books at a time. Some of her favorite readings was about history, crimes, suspense novels and a large collection of cookbooks. She also enjoyed doing word search. She was a history buff from her readings and was also very up to date with current events do to her fondness for watching national news channels.
Some of her happiest moments was when she was in the kitchen cooking with and for her loved ones. Some but not all of her specialities were homemade spaghetti, cookies, fudge, soup and etc........... You could say she had a gift for making wonderful homemade comfort foods.
She was a long time member of the White River United Presbyterian Church in Auburn. Where she made lots of friends. Later on in life she became Catholic and was a member of the Auburn and then Sumner Catholic churches.
She had a love for animals. Especially Candy, Chiquita and later on Saddie, Ozzie and Mimi the cat. Her " grandanimals" she would say.
She is survived by two children: Son Michael George of Bonney lake; Daughter Diane George of Vancouver; Daughter Inlaw Sonya George of Bonney Lake; Six grandchildren: Sabrina,Ricky,Amalia,Andrew,Alexander and Matthew. Mother: Betty Kyle of California; Brother: Barry Kyle and Sister Inlaw Dora Kyle of West Virginia.
