

Kenneth Gene Pinkston was born to Minor and Mary Pinkston on March 8, 1921 in Arnold, Nebraska. In 1942 at the age of 20 he joined the Army during World War II. He was in the “Medical Branch” in the European Operations, traveling to Africa, Italy and France. In 1945, after the war ended, he was discharged and went to join his family who had moved to Idaho. It was there that he met Leora Wilson and they were married on May 21, 1947. Kenneth passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Minor and Mary Pinkston, a brother Lavern who died in infancy, a sister Pearl and his wife Leora. Kenneth is survived by his 5 children – David (Colleen) Pinkston of Boise, ID, Sharon (Russ) Moyer of Coal Valley, IL, Dale (Linda) Pinkston of Melba, ID, Ron (Janet) Pinkston of Twin Falls, ID and Sheryl (Phil) Purdum of Puyallup, WA, 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
