Thinking of you today and many others in between.  Lunch has not been the same without you.  You are missed dearly and thought of often.

Mr. Mitch, what a pleasure it was to know you, what a joy!  We at the Phoenix Public Library, Cholla Branch, adored you and will forever.  My world is so much better for our crazy times when you would drop by, not to mention seeing "Mama Mia" with you.  :)  Thanks for being a rascal, thanks for your humor, thanks for your insights and naughtiness, thanks for your brilliance.  Oh, and for Montgomery Clift in Judgment at Nuremberg!  You're just the finest.  I love you.  Rest peacefully, great sir.  The world is lonelier without you.  Greg

Goodbye Dr. Mitch, you will be remembered, you will be missed and most importantly you will be celebrated.  Take it easy on Gene and Fred, they're just movie stars, they're not educators.

it is my honor to do color guard at Dr. Mitch's memorial this Friday November7,2014 at the carl Hayden auditorium. I did not know him very well but you could tell by his attitude when I saw him in the office that he was a very nice man. he always had a smile on his face. It will be my honor to present the colors at his memorial.

Dr. Mitch was a wonderful man and a awesome friend. He was a man that was  full of life. Dr. Mitch loved everyone and loved to tell jokes. He also loved the opera and would sing to me just because he loved to show off! I am going to miss him so much. Rest in peace my friend...Love Aida Velez

I never thought that this day would come because Dr. Mitch was so full of life and love.  I will miss his smile, his hugs, and our daily chit chats.

Dr. Mitch was always quick to smile and try to cheer up people that did not immediately smile back.  His love of learning and teaching has forever impacted the students and teachers that he has met.  I know I am a better person to have known him for even the short time that it was.

Charm, verve, spunk, great intellect and inquiry.  .  . humor by the truck-load, laughs and a sardonic look at life -- a whole world!   That is Dr. Mitch.  When he came in to the old room for a guest lecture about Shakespeare, the students were transported back in time -- nice.   Carl Hayden HS was so much richer because of him. Dr. Mitch touched so many lives throughout his career as an educator.  He will be greatly missed by ALL at Carl Hayden Community High School.  He will forever hold a place in our hearts.  He taught the students in drama so much more......I always enjoyed reviewing plays coming up in the community with him, and talking about the performances.  What an AMAZING MAN that will never be forgotten.

Dr. Mitch's commitment to education, and students, has impacted many lives.  His life made a difference in the world.

Dr. Mitch was an amazing mentor for our students at Carl Hayden. It was an honor to learn from such a great person. He was a genuine educator and impacted the lives of so many fortunate people.
