Amanda Jeanne Lund

Amanda Jeanne Lund, lovingly known to some as “Mandy” — though she only ever tolerated it for everyone else’s sake — passed away on July 13, 2025. She was 47 years old.

Born in New York on May 8, 1978, Amanda spent nearly her entire life in the Phoenix area, with the past 11 years in Peoria, Arizona — a true west valley girl through and through.

Amanda was the beloved wife of Jerrod Lund, and the devoted mother of Desiree, Aimee, and Grant Lund. She is survived by them, as well as countless extended family and friends who were lucky enough to know and love her. To her husband, she was “Bunches” and “Mama Bear” — names that reflected her warmth, her fierce love, and the bond they shared.

Amanda’s calling in life was motherhood. She was a full-time homemaker and stay-at-home mom — and it was a role she embraced with grace, strength, and joy. She ensured her children not only stayed on top of their work and made it to every practice or event on time, but also knew they were deeply supported in every endeavor, whether she agreed with it or not. She was their biggest champion — their constant, their cheerleader, and their home.

Though she never pursued college herself, Amanda proudly dedicated her life to raising her children and supporting her husband as he built and ran the company. Her greatest accomplishment was watching her children grow and thrive, knowing she had helped shape the people they became.

Amanda lived in laughter. Her smile and laugh were infectious, and to know her was truly to be loved. Everyone in the room lit up wherever she went at her presence. She adored her family and cherished every moment with them — from quoting movies with her husband and kids, to traveling the world with her husband (cruising being her favorite). She was passionate about movies, music, and especially cooking. Though she rarely followed a recipe, her meals rivaled any professional chef’s — and it wasn’t just her food people fell in love with, it was her.

Her presence was a gift, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
