Blossom Jean Koch passed away peacefully on March 26, 2021, under the care of Adriel Care Home in Surprise, Arizona, and Hospice of the West. Mrs. Koch was born July 11, 1929, in Star Junction, Pennsylvania, and predeceased by loving husband George Albert Koch (1925-2018), to whom she was married for over 67 years. Mrs. Koch is survived by her two sons: George A. Koch, Jr. (wife Sandra Heal) and Timothy R. Koch (husband William Cody).
The daughter of Veril Roosevelt Clelland and Florence Edna (Nichelson) Clelland, Mrs. Koch was predeceased by both parents and her three siblings.
Following her graduation from Scottdale High School in 1947 in the top ten of her class, “Jeanne” went to work for Penn Line Service, Inc., in Scottdale, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Koch worked at Penn Line Service until her retirement over four decades later.
Upon moving in 1998 to Arizona, Mrs. George Koch attended Lakeview United Methodist Church (UMC) until the death of her husband, George Koch. For a time, Mrs. Koch volunteered in the library at Lakeview UMC.
Mrs. Koch and her husband enjoyed casino trips, square dancing, and playing cards.
There will be no services as Lakeview United Methodist Church, given policies. Mrs. Koch’s ashes will be interred next to her husband, George Koch, at that Church’s columbarium.
