Chris Hansen, Jr., 87, of Peoria, AZ passed away September 14, 2019. He was born in Hamilton, Iowa on April 18, 1932 to Chris and Elsie (Paulsen) Hansen. He was the youngest of 11 children. Chris served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He also received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Minnesota. Chris was a school teacher and over the years had many students in music. He taught private lessons in piano, taught small groups, as well as played at dinner clubs and retirement homes.
Chris is survived by his wife of 63 years Jean; his children Joel (Laura) Hansen and Susan (Anthony) Alderete; his 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Sunland Mortuary 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351. The Funeral Service will follow at 10:00, and burial with Military Honors will immediately follow the Funeral Service at Sunland Memorial Park.
