

Ciro was born on October 13, 1930 in Naples, Italy to his parents Dominic and Amelia (Cristillo) Romano. He was the last of the 10 siblings. In 1950, he moved to the United States when he was just 20 years old. He later married his beloved wife, Grace Labara, on June 23, 1956. They had been married for 52 years before she passed away in 2008.
Ciro was a very talented man. He tailored in New York for the Ice Capades, where he was the manager of the men's department for many years, and for various stars including Elvis Presley, Diana Ross, The Osmonds, Liberace, Captain and Tennille and many others. Ciro was most well known for his costume making in the Ice Capades and all of the capes and jumpsuits he created for Elvis. He would also created costumes for the Ringling Brothers, Barnum Bailey circus and all the dresses for the Disneyland Main Street Electrical Parade.
When Ciro wasn't working, you were likely to see him at the horse races at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. It was one of his favorite hobbies and enjoyments in life. He also enjoyed having his family together during the holidays and other occasions.
Ciro is survived by his three children, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who love him dearly.
A funeral service for Ciro will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 N Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351 followed by a graveside service with military honors at 12:00PM.
