Darrell Steven Jones

Darrell Steven Jones, born 1949 and passed away 2021. On January 28, 2021 Darrell Steven Jones left his loving wife Rosanne and many friends to be with the Lord. It was time, as Darrell had battled cancer for nearly two years; never giving up, always believing he could beat it.

Darrell was known as a strong person, both in body and spirit. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. It was never about perfection, but always about being the best he could be. Suffice to say, he lived his life that way. It showed in everything he did; father, husband, grandfather, lawn bowler, bocce player, bowler, weight lifter and in his accomplishments across the many businesses he owned.

His legacy will not be found in the history books, but in the numerous friends he made during his lifetime. As he moved around the country, he was forced to give up lawn bowls when he was in his prime. When he retired and moved to Sun City, Arizona he quickly renewed his passion for the game and joined with his special love Rosanne and they played together often. As usual, he excelled.

Darrell was predeceased by his granddaughter, Indie Rose. He is survived by his loving wife Rosanne; his sons Donovan (Lorena) and Brandon (Sara); his step-daughter Michelle (Kim) and his granddaughter Seajay; as well as his many stepchildren.

So long, Big Guy! We will miss you. The pain and suffering are over and you are in a better place. Someday we’ll see you again on the other side where the greens are always smooth and fast. Until that time Darrell, until that time.
