David Eugene Barnes of Sun City, Arizona has taken flight to join his family with the angels. David was born on August 16, 1944 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late William Preston and Myrtle (Spradling) Barnes. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry Barnes and his wife Dawnna Jean (Thomson) Barnes.
David served his country as a proud Marine. David retired from many years with Amerada Petroleum Company. He became active in many activities during his retirement as an active NRA member, SASS member enjoying many years of cowboy action shooting. David enjoyed life to the fullest while traveling to many scenic states and countries of the world.
He leaves behind his loving sister Connie Ennes; his sister-in-law Sue (Steve) Crawford; his brother-in-law Phil (Mary) Thomson; his nephew Rick Barnes; his nieces Renee (Justin) Buenrostro, Tina (Guy) Grundmeier, Rhonda Crawford (Sean McKinnon), Stacy (John) French, Laurie Singleton, Patti Thomson, and Karie Reynolds Honig (Cam); his close friend Bruce Newell; several great nieces and nephews, cousins, along with many other relatives and friends.
