David Russell Shugg

David Russell Shugg, known by his family as "Woobie" and by his niece and nephew as “Uncle D”, left this world October 14, 2014 in Peoria, AZ. He was born October 12, 1984 in Phoenix, AZ to Rodney and Toni Shugg. David made a career with his family’s business, Bob’s Used Motorcycle Parts of Phoenix where he worked every day with his father and brother, Eric Shugg. He loved riding and working on bikes and had a desire for the speed and adrenaline that came along with it. He also enjoyed building R.C. cars, boating on the lake and fishing. David’s true passion within his hobbies was gun collecting and shooting.

Family was everything to David. He took true pride in his role as a loving Uncle, “Uncle D”, to his niece Brea and nephew Donovan. He was the protector of his siblings, Mandy (Shugg) Waller and his brother Eric, even though he was the youngest. His sense of humor always brought a smile to his family and friends.

David is survived by his grandmother Alice Shugg, parents Rodney and Toni Shugg, his Uncle Alan and Aunt Terry, Uncle John Wentzel, Jr, sister Mandy Waller (Scott), brother Eric Shugg, niece Brea, nephew Donovan, and his dog Meat Ball.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, John Robert Wentzel (1987), grandmother Maurine Johnson (2008), and his dog Buddy Bear.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) Peoria Campus, 7007 W. Happy Valley Rd, Peoria, AZ 85383. David left an impression on many hearts as a loving grandson, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will live on through them in memories forever.
