Our condolences to you and your family. We are deeply sorry to hear about Doug's passing. He was a special guy, great neighbor, and extremely helpful to us when we moved into our home in Sun City.  May he rest in peace.

My dad was the BEST dad.  He loved with all of his heart and did everything he could to always make sure we were okay.  No words can describe what he did for me and everyone else who was lucky enough to meet him.  My heart hurts.  I will miss you EVERY DAY 

To The Behr's and Extended Family, 

I will always remember Doug as a caring, loving, happy and dedicated man. I have fond memories of us kids playing in their pool with Doug. He was so much more fun than any of the other parents that had pools in their backyard.  He was genuine. I remember he loved having clean cars too!  ;o)   My family used to shout across the cul de sac to him, "Hey Doug, are you going to do ours next?!"  We must have asked him that a 100 times over our young years of being neighbors. He probably laughed just as hard the 100th time as he did the first time just out of genuine politeness because there's no way that it was still funny.

 Occasionaly when our parents would go out of town, we would stay at the Behr's house. April and I always felt safe and loved there but naturally, that's just the kind of place Doug and Jan created for whomever entered their home.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to convey my love and condolences from many forests and deserts away however I am comforted by knowing that Doug is in a beautiful and peaceful place as well as in the hearts and memories of all he touched. (...And I'm certain he now knows the answer to that "Who put the bomp in the in the bomp sha bomp sha bomp?" question that Barry Mann asked over their Hi-Fi so many times!)

Doug was an angel on earth. Devoted husband, loving father, amazing grandfather.  He acted with integrity, spoke with kindness,  and lead his family with love. He truly represented the very best a man could be. He stayed true to his Faith in God, he served his family and community.  He was a true friend, always loyal.  When a person of this quality is part of your family, their absence leaves an enormous void.  My prayers and love I send to his sweet wife, Jan, who is equally wonderful, and to his daughters who are beautiful in every way, and amazing grandchildren.  Doug's reunion with God and Jesus Christ must have been joyous. I look forward to the day when in perfection Doug will be reunited with his family to be together always. May  God's rest be upon him and God's loving comfort support his family at this time. 

Doug was a super guy. I truly enjoyed being around Doug when work events brought us together.
