Eleanor Helen O'Boyle

Ele was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 5, 1930. She married Eugene “Gene” O’Boyle on July 31, 1954. After several years of living in Illinois, the O’Boyle family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1959. Ele was a homemaker, loved to travel, play tennis and belonged to several card groups. She visited many countries in Europe, including England and Ireland, with good long-time friends. In the early years in Phoenix Ele was active in the St. Vincent de Paul Parish. She was on the alter committee, assisted with the bake and rummage sales and helped out at the SVDP Family Fun Day.

Ele spent her leisure time in Rocky Point, Mexico and Munds Park and especially enjoyed time with her five children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her five children, Daniel O’Boyle, Elizabeth “Betsy” O’Boyle, Michael (Debbie) O’Boyle, Timothy (Eve Streets)O’Boyle , Eileen “Beezy” (Randy)LeVander and many beloved children and great-grandchildren and her siblings Andrew Grotz and Therese Barlow and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents Andrew C and Mary (Houlihan) Grotz and husband Eugene Thomas O’Boyle, she is preceded in death by her sisters Mary Emrich, Joan Saelinger, Kathleen Toman, Lucy Feldmann, and brother Thomas Grotz.

Visitation will be held at Sunland Mortuary Lakeside Chapel, 15826 N Del Webb Blvd. Sun City, AZ 85351 on April 9 2026 from 12pm to 4pm.

A Catholic funeral mass will be held at St Clement of Rome Church, 15800 N Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351 on April 10, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Internment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery 9925 W Thomas Rd., Avondale, AZ on April 10, 2026 from 12:00pm to 1:00 pm.
