

Fran was born on October 4, 1921 in Providence, RI to Horace and Margaret Duhaime Rogers. His family moved to Greenfield, MA and he was a 1939 graduate of Greenfield High School. He was a member of the armed services, serving in the US Navy where he was stationed at Naval Station Great Lakes, IL.
After the service he returned to Greenfield where he worked for himself as an electrician and retired as co-owner of Stotz Electric.
Fran lived for many years with his first wife, Virginia Cranston and their five children in the Greenfield Meadows and later Montague Center in the beautiful home known as Lilac Hall. He built a cabin on Lake Wyola where he spent many summers teaching his children how to sail and water ski. He and his second wife, Mary, lived in Bernardston, MA and then moved to
Sun City West, AZ to enjoy their retirement.
Fran had a variety of interests and aptitudes throughout his career including carpentry, home remodeling and repair, sailing, square dancing, and basic computer programming.
He is survived by his daughter Elaine Ponchione of Fairbanks, AK and sons Peter and his wife Mary Rogers of Worthington, OH; Robert and his wife Cheryl of Cumming, GA; William and his wife Ellie of Austin, TX; and David and his wife Debra of North Falmouth, MA. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Fran was laid to rest with his best friend and beloved wife Mary in Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, AZ.
