

Harvey Sherman, 90, of Sun City, AZ passed away, April 17, 2012. Harvey was born in Havana, Cuba, while his Polish parents awaited entrance into the United States. At seven months old they moved to Pennsylvania until he was a teenager, when the family moved to Brooklyn, NY.
Harvey honorably served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. After the military, Harvey graduated with honors from Cooper Union University in New York City, NY.
Following school, he moved to the Los Angeles, CA area where he worked for both Lockheed Martin and McDonald Douglas as a Mechanical Aeronautical Engineer. Later, Harvey was a real estate broker.
After retiring, as a widower, he moved to Sun City, AZ and remarried a few years later. Harvey also had a love for playing bridge.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Sherman and step-children, Kathy Stukenberg and Chris Melton.
Harvey is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Bessie E. Haberaecker; children, Robert Michael Sherman, Susan (Evan) Kessler and Henry Sherman; sister-in-law, Anna Reynolds; son-in-law, Jim (Gail) Stukenberg; grandchildren, Sage Sherman, Keri (Josh) Wojcik, Becky (Derek) Guardiola and Chris Melton, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Lydia Wojcik and Jordan Guardiola.
A funeral service will be held at 2PM Saturday April 21, 2012 at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Inspiris.
