

Hugh "Glenn" Sutton, age 80, went to heaven on September 24th 2025. Glenn was born at home in a cider mill in Hotchkiss, CO to Jewel and Elmer Sutton. At the age of 3 he moved with his family to Highland, CA where they lived on his uncle's orange grove. As a teen, he lived briefly in Glendale, AZ before moving to Greeley, CO. There he attended and graduated from College High School (class of 1963).
He later worked briefly as a guard for the U.S. Marshal's Service in Phoenix, AZ before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1966, serving for four years. Upon discharge in 1970, he was hired by the U.S. Marshal's Service as a Deputy U.S. Marshal. He loved being a Deputy with all of it's responsibilities and adventures. In 1984, he and his partner captured one of Canada's 10 most wanted fugitives. Glenn especially loved the camaraderie within the Marshal's Service. He proudly served 25 years as a Deputy, a career that took him all over the United States and world leading to his love of travel.
Glenn was married to Alicia Sutton for 38 loving years. She joined him in his love of travel around the United States and the world. They also shared a love of dogs.
He is preceded in death by Parents Jewel and Elmer Sutton and his brothers Calvin, and William Sutton, and his sisters Orfa Ruth Raine and Wanda Prock.
Glenn is also survived by his son from a previous marriage, Bryan Scott Sutton, and grandchildren Jacob Sutton and Brylee Sutton, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
