

Jack Jaycox, 88, of McKeesport, PA passed away on February 12, 2014. A veteran of the US Air Force and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Jack later earned his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Melon University. In McKeesport, he married and had three sons, Jack, Daniel and Terrence.
Jack relocated to Arizona in the 1970s where he founded Jaycox Air Conditioning and Heating in 1978. Today the business continues to thrive with Terry and Danny at the helm along with a handful of grandchildren who collectively work to make his early vision a modern day reality. Jack found great satisfaction in his multigenerational legacy.
Jack was an avid golfer (three hole-in-ones during his life) and former President of the Sun City Country Club. Other hobbies included Astronomy and watching Football. Jack’s greatest love was family. He took great joy in coordinating family reunions with his grandchildren that had spread out across the country.
Jack married Lucy Corsi in 2001 and together they enjoyed an adventure filled retirement that included many trips across the world. Their devotion to one another was evident up until Jack’s final days when he peacefully passed with the knowledge that he was loved and treasured by all.
Jack is preceded in death by his son, Jack; sisters, Jean and Mary Lou; and brother, Bob.
Jack is survived by his wife, Lucy Jaycox; his sons, Daniel (Honeylore) and Terrence (Charlotte); his siblings, Jim (Carol), Helen (Chris) Heine and Glenda Jaycox; Mary (Larry) Hamilton and Rick (Kathy) Corsi; sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014, 10:00 AM at Church of St. Joachim and St. Anne, 11625 N. 111th Ave, Sun City, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made to the American Diabetes Association at 5333 N. 7th Street, Suite 212, Phoenix, AZ 85014 in Jack’s name.
