James Everett Bailey

James “Jim” Everett Bailey passed away on June 9, 2024 following a heroic battle of recovering from a broken hip. Born August 1, 1940 to Marion and Dorothy Bailey in Indianapolis, IN, he married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Hardin on December 8, 1961.

He was employed with Indiana Bell where he retired after over 30 years. The love of family, friends and sports kept him happy and full of life. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; daughters Lori (Myron) Morphew, Teresa Johnson and Susan (Bob) Jesser; 2 grandsons, Drew and Ethan Alyea and sister, Evelyn (Kent) Simpson as well as nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by sister Judith Olinger and brother, Melvin Bailey.

Rest in peace husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend.
