James K. Hubbard was born in 1938 and closed his eyes one final time on Saturday, June 4, 2016. He has left behind his devoted and loving wife of 58 years, Judith and his two children, Stacy (Marmion) and James F., seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
James was born and raised in North Long Beach, California where he married and raised his family in nearby Lakewood. In 2004, he moved to El Mirage, Arizona to be closer to his grandchildren and enjoy retirement. He was a great human being and stood tall filled with integrity and morals that were impeccable. He was a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a friend. James was a Sargent in the Army Reserve, a welder, truck driver, and crossing guard, making him a hardworking jack of all trades. He loved his books, his guns, his westerns, his corny jokes, and making his famous goulash, but most of all he loved his family! People were drawn to this man and his ability to converse about whichever topic most suited who he was speaking with. He held knowledge in a vast array of subjects and was never too reserved to share that wisdom to help others. This man has left many family, friends, and loved ones behind prematurely, yet he has also left behind his legacy that will carry on in the example he has set for us all.
