Jim Prendergast passed away August 1, 2014 in Westminster, CO, under Hospice care. Born June 4, 1919, in Beaumont, CA, he was 95 years old. At age 12 he became fascinated with flying and was eventually certificated in nearly every machine that flew from gliders, helicopters, to small and multi-engine aircraft. His career included serving in the Army Aircorps, where he trained pilots during World War II, managing an airport in Indio, CA, working with North American Aviation, and finally retiring from his position as Chief of the General Aviation District Office, Federal Aviation Administration for the State of Idaho. Jim was married 54 years to Dorothy Moreland Prendergast who preceded him in death in 1997. His survivors include his daughter, Kay (Harold) Kelloff, grandchildren, Joe (Melanie) Kelloff, Kash (Jodi) Kelloff, Jennifer Kelloff (Ryan) Simms and eight great -grandchildren.
