

John Joseph Sheehan went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on November 23, 2015. John was born in Manhattan, New York on December 27, 1929. Shortly after high school, John served honorably for four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, where he trained as an aircraft mechanic. Upon his discharge, he was employed by Trans World Airlines for 38 years as an airline mechanic. John had a deep love and dedication for his family and God. He had a passion for golf and played many courses around the country. Pebble Beach was an all-time favorite of his. John organized many golf tournaments throughout the years for TWA employees, as well as Sun City West residents. John was active in his church and was an altar server at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
John was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Barbara, of 51 years. He is survived by his dear second wife, Patricia, of seven years, who was with him during his final days. John is also survived by his son Kevin, daughter Karen, nine grandchildren, stepchildren Steven and Kathy Hauff and Teri and Mike Tosh, brother Tommy and sister Ann Marie. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and medical staff at Banner Del E. Webb Hospital and Banner Hospice for the heartfelt care they provided for John.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 30th at Sunland Memorial Park 15826 Del Webb Blvd Sun City, Arizona from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 1st at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, AZ.
