John Joseph Wilhelm passed away peacefully on September 10, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 19, 1920 in Columbus, Ohio. John served in WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a Sergeant, 301st Bomber Group in England. He retired after 30 years from Goodyear Aerospace. He is survived by his wife and best friend Rita; four children: Jennifer Caraffa, Michele Nicholas (David), Stefanie Trotter (Tom) of Siloam Springs, AR, and Jeff Wilhelm (Ann); eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
A memorial mass with military honors will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at 10:00 am at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St, Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656.
