Richard Ray Paxton, of Peoria, passed from this life on November 6, 2016 at the age of 65. Richard “Rick” was born in Columbia, SC on August 17, 1951, to the late Richard Edmund Paxton and Martha LaVon (Richardson) Paxton. He was united in marriage to Linda Willis on May 17, 1974.
Rick was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, with 22 years of service, serving during the Vietnam War, Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving family, Linda, his wife of 42 years, daughters Stephanie Bustoz and husband John with grandchildren Zac, Jacob, Elyssa, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Abbey and Laura Nielsen and husband Vince with grandchildren Claira, Emma, Vincent, Aspen and Charlotte, sister Becky Roth and husband Tom and a brother Stephen Paxton. He is also survived by a niece, nephew and several great nieces and a nephew as well as a host of friends.
