Myles, 
I will miss you dad, Sir Robert Gwynne Temby. 
I will miss making the yearly phone call on August 1st. 
I will miss his letters to Joy & myself.  
I have saved many of them, they are so cheerfull and precious.  
I met Mr. Temby in October 1974 when he first hired me at Easterday Supply.
Then he went to ABM, then 450 Sutter then Holter Associates Realtors where he took a listing from me, a building on Divisadero St., B-4 it was fashionable.  The building had 3 fires, it burned out the entire inside of the 3 story building.  You could stand on the ground floor and look at the stars above.  No one else would even look at the building much less take a listing.  THAT DID NOT STOP BOB.
And he sold it in no time at all.  One of many great stories.  Phil Bill

Myles, I'm so sorry to hear that you have lost your father.  I know that you were close to him.  He was an important presence in your life, and he will be missed by you and others.  He was a man of character and class.  My deepest condolences to you in this time of trial.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your father   I, too remember him when I first met him at 450 Sutter Street when he was the building manager.  We had good times at the Starlight Roof at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel, and your father introduced me to you!  What a wonderful man, I'll miss him and his warmth and sense of humor. Myles, my heartfelt condolences on Bob's passing. I have many great memories of him: at 450 Sutter (with that motley crew); at the top of the Sir Francis Drake; at Carmel and Pebble Beach; at Trader Vic's; at your wedding with Kathy; on the phone in Sun City... Bob Temby died today 3/16

He's now he's with his Sweet Josephine

Bob was a traveler beyond his teens

On the rails like a hobo to places like New Orleans

Then on to Hollywood to mingle with celebrities

As a Captain in the Merchant Marines he went to places we've never seen

Good-bye old friend! Hope some day we will meet again...

We miss you St. Robert the gentle shepherd ....especially your smiling face...all your phone calls, wonderful letters and carepackages.  We know you're having a martini on the 19th Hole with Josephine and all your friends at Palmbrook Country Club.  We'll miss you Dad.  We Love you.

Very sorry to hear about your father's passing. I recall meeting him at your parent's place in San Francisco in the summer of 1974, and having breakfast in his building at "The Fatted Calf." He was a very nice man.
