We are saddened to announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Timbrel on March 27, 2024, in Peoria, AZ. Born in Walden, Colorado on May 27, 1940 Bob was the fourth and youngest child of Leslie Creighton Timbrel and Myrtle Marie Timbrel. In 1959 Bob joined the U. S. Navy and was proud to serve on the USS Orleck - D886 until 1963. In 1964 he then met and married the love of his life, Linda Hardenburgh of Norco, California. Bob and Linda eventually relocated to Northern Arizona and raised their children, finally retiring in Southern Arizona in 2006. Although Bob enjoyed a few different careers over the years, he spoke most fondly of his time as a Southern California police officer and he enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, old cars, and riding motorcycles.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Marne Abshire (Kirty), 3 grandchildren; Tanner Abshire, Nicholas Santillan,
Michael Santillan (Ashley), 3 great grandchildren; Dexter, Karter, and Lucianna, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Linda, his son, Daniel, his parents, and his 3 siblings.
Services will be held at a time and date to be determined.
