Rollin Baker passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8th at the age of 87. He was a devoted husband to Joan Baker, a loving father to his only son Robert Baker, and a proud grandfather to Kaela Baker and Devan Baker.
To Ro, he was a beloved companion who shared a deep friendship, laughter, and daily life. In retirement, Rollin formed new friendships at Royal Oaks, where he was known simply as a kind and loyal friend.
To those who knew him, Rollin was more than family—he was a true gentleman. He carried himself with a quiet strength that left a lasting mark on everyone around him. As a manager in the police department, Rollin was known for caring for his employees, and leading with fairness and integrity. His colleagues consistently describe him as caring, steady, and a man who always put others first.
Robert, seeing his father Rollin through the eyes of others has been a gift, and came to know his father not only as a parent but also as a leader, a friend to many, and a man admired for his character. The words that return again and again are simple, but they say everything: quiet strength, caring, stood up for people, a true gentleman.
Rollin lived his life with dignity and love. He will be deeply missed, but his strength and example live on in all those he touched.
