Romeo Abejuro, Jr., affectionately known as Noy, passed away peacefully March 11, 2024, at the age of 62 from congestive heart failure. He was born to Lourdes Escarilla and Romeo Molo Abejuro, on September 9, 1961, in the Philippines. Complications at birth, Noy suffered from a lack of oxygen resulting in an intellectual disability throughout his life. However, with the love and support of his family, he thrived and persevered. He spoke 3 languages fluently in Tagalog, Bicolano, and English. He graduated from Harrison High School, Farmington Hills, MI. He attained his driver’s license and drove for nearly a decade. He had a love for maps, studied them and knew them inside out, helping our dad in navigating interstate family road trips. He was a walking GPS before GPS was invented, which was quite a valuable skill in the 80s. He was a mama’s boy and a big-time foodie. He became our parents' sidekick in going to every Casino buffet, Chinese buffet, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Cheesecake Factory, McDonalds, Burger King, Panda Express, and Halo-Halo Filipino Kitchen. He loved watching basketball, baseball, and football with our dad. He smiled all the time, and his laugh was infectious. He was the sweetest, most kind, loving person and brought so much joy to our lives.
Predeceased by his father, Romeo, and his mother, Lourdes. His memory will be honored and kept alive by his siblings, Susan (Glenn) Hernandez, Ron (Cynthia) Abejuro, and Gerry (KayAnn) Abejuro; his nephew Brandon, and his nieces Sydney, Caedyn, Helen, and Lauren.
