Ruth Louise (Peggy) McCoy Asterino departed this earthly life on May 8, 2019 at her residence in Peoria, Arizona at the age of 97, with loved ones by her side. She was born in Jamestown, Ohio on April 20, 1922 to Carl Vernon and Geneva Margret (Stephens) McCoy. She was united in marriage with Arnold B. Asterino on November 16, 1946 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Urbana, Ohio.
Louise was a homemaker and touched many lives through her various accomplishments, i.e., serving on school and church committees, Weight Watchers, Fashion Two Twenty, and Old World Gifts. Louise and Arnold retired to Sun City, Arizona in 1988, where she served as a member and President of Sun City Sew-n-Sew Club, and took extreme pride to have been a part of Rosie the Riveter Workforce and membership with the Sun City Chapter.
A Requiem Mass will be said on Saturday, May 11, at 10AM at Sunland Memorial Park Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd Sun City, AZ 85351. With Interment to immediately follow where she will be placed alongside her late husband Arnold. She is survived by children Debbie Miller (Richard) of Peoria, AZ; Bruce Asterino (Donna Summers) of Surprise, AZ; Brian Astorino (Nancy) of Heath Texas; Carmen Brenneman (Bill) of Urbana, OH; and Anna Hall of Ventura, CA. She will be dearly missed by 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Callison; son-in-law, Tom Hall; and a grand-daughter, Baby Girl Dellinger.
