Ruth J. Powell passed away September 23, 2012 in Peoria, AZ at age 95. Ruth was born on February 23, 1917 to Herman and Olive Langdon in Wheatfield, IN. She married Dr. J.P who she met in Minneapolis where he had a medical practice and she was going to nursing school. Ruth had a special heart; she took care of premature babies with compassion. She was the mother of two son’s Dave and Rick. Ruth was an excellent cook, and loved horses. As a family they raised horses and enjoyed horseback riding. Ruth leaves behind her two son’s Dave from FL and Rick from AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. J.P who passed in 1991. Ruth will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Visitation will be held Friday, September 28, 2012 at 12:00pm at Sunland Funeral Home following a Committal service in garden of Faith 2.
