Tenie & Finis Drinkwater

Tenie & Finis (Buddy) Drinkwater, were both age 91 at the time of passing. Tenie Lee passed August 17, 2024. Finis passed March 4, 2020. Both will be placed together and celebrated on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, at 10:00 am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 2929 East Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024. Tenie was born in Waco Texas to James and Majorie (Minnock) Nixon on Monday, March 13th, 1933.

Tenie and Finis traveled around the world with the US Air Force. They retired in Phoenix, Az in 1970. Soon thereafter Tenie started working for the Cartwright School System and spent 20 years as a teacher’s aide before she retired. She was known for her kindness and willingness to help her family and others. Tenie enjoyed traveling, visiting Mission Beach and summers at their cabin in Munds Park, AZ.

Tenie and Finis will be laid to rest on October 22, 2024, which would have been their 70-year anniversary. During the ceremony Finis will receive full military honors since he retired for the US Air Force at the rank of Major. They leave behind their children Stefanie England, Patricia Nehrenz and Debra (Dean) Badger, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
