

Thomas Edwin Howard, 89 of Peoria, AZ peacefully passed away on January 29, 2015 with his family near his side. Thomas was born on April 24, 1925 in Snyder, TX and was raised in Norwood, CO, which is where he met the love of his life, Eunice. After dating for 7 years they married and have been married for 67 years. Thomas served his country honorably in the United States Navy, on the battleship U.S.S. Massachusetts during WWII as a Water Tender 3rd Class. Thomas was a ranch foreman in Nebraska before moving to Cortez, CO where he owned Northside Packing Company. In 1970 he moved to Farmington, NM where he owned and operated the Navajo Curio Shop. Thomas retired in 1987 and moved to Arizona in 1990. He was a member of the Elks, BPOE #1747, Yarnell American Legion Post 79 and was a Volunteer Fireman in Cortez, CO. Thomas was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He and Eunice enjoyed Country Western dancing and were avid Square Dancers. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Eunice; loving three daughters, Gail and Ron Olive of Surprise, AZ, Glenda and Jim Rowland of Farmington, NM and Rhonda and Fred Wagner of Surprise, AZ; nine grandchildren, Miki Moffitt, Stephanie (Michael) Mariotti, J.R. (Allison) Wagner, Tommy (Janna) Corda, Dustin (JoeAnn) Wagner, Shawn Burton, Matt Olive, Shannon (Justin) Gaskill and Jimmy (Jennifer) Rowland ; nine great grandchildren, Natasha, Sheala, Asa, James, Julia, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Francisco and Orlando. A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 4, 2015, with Visitation beginning at 1:00 PM at Sunland Mortuary, Lakeside Chapel, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City. Immediately following will be Military Honors and Interment, Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City. A Reception and fellowship will continue after the committal in the home of J. R.
