Brian was born at Holy Cross Hospital in Northridge, California on January 13, 1962. He was the second son of Bob and Carol Lee. He was baptized at St.Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Reseda, California, made his first Communion at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church in Thousand Oaks, California, and was confirmed at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Modesto, California. Brian was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Indian Guide member. He attended Sherwood Elementary School, Somerset Jr High, Beyer High School, and Modesto Jr College in Modesto, California.
Early on, Brian developed a passion for electronics. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, would often tear apart radios and anything electronic, to figure out how to put them back together. This led to his lifelong career and interest in the electronic industry, working for The Good Guys, the Federated Group, Circuit City, and working his way up the corporate ladder in management for Best Buy.
Electronic sales not only became a passion, but an expertise for him. Many know Brian as the coolest, nicest guy that owns MANCAVE Entertainment. Brian built a business selling TVs, soundbars and more, guaranteeing the lowest price in town! He did it based on honesty, knowledge, great customer service, and his KIND personality. He studied and knew his product, and shared his knowledge and passion with every customer and co-worker. He was a TV guru! He mentored so many young men as not just salespeople, but set them up for success in life based on his good morals.
Music has always been in Brian’s life. He loved many genres, and has been to probably over 2000 concerts in his lifetime, beginning in the early 70’s. He enjoyed purchasing tickets early and sharing these experiences with friends, family, and co-workers. Those closest to him have shared these music experiences with fond memories. His mother recalls so often their shared fondness for the music of Queen!
As a young man, Brian spent many vacations and trips on the water in California with his family and friends. Water skiing, camping, house boating and jet skiing were a large part of his life. This lifestyle carried on through his adulthood. He loved being on his SeaDoo with his friends, family, and his love, Kristin. He treasured his time going down the Colorado River, Lake Havasu, Lake Powell, and more through the Grand Canyons of Red Rocks and scenery only few get to experience. Just like anything else, he took his passion for this life to its finest. A generous soul, who wanted to share these experiences with as many people as he could. At one time, Brian owned up to 8 jet skis so he could share his adventures with others. A man that always mastered his craft, he was known as the “SeaDoo Whisperer,” sharing his knowledge and helping someone out along his journeys. He would often send pictures to his mother, sharing the beauty of nature. His adventures on the water brought peace, complete reverence and awe of God’s creations of wonder. He felt so blessed and fortunate to have had these spiritual experiences in nature.
Brian was a “grill master” and loved smoking meats for his friends and family. He shared his wings, tri-tip, carne asada, pulled pork, ribs, hamburgers, and brisket with everyone. Being a sports enthusiast, his best days were spent with his favorite people on his patio watching a game, sharing his smoked meats, and talking some trash!! He loved to banter with anyone that didn’t support his San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Lakers or his UCLA Bruins (his dad’s Alma mater). A true fan of sports!
Anyone that knew or met Brian was introduced to his favorite companions, his Beagle dogs. He was the best “daddy” to Charlie of recent, Jerry, and his beloved JoJo. He was “Uncle B” to his favorite Boston, Lambeau. Brian’s joy and complete obsession were his furry friends. They were his “children” and were spoiled with true love.
Brian was kind and a perfect example of a true friend. He was generous, loyal, compassionate, and lived his life to the fullest. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed his time with his brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. No one was loved more on this earth than his beloved mom, Carol, and his dad, Bob. He adored, admired, respected, and honored his mother to his last breath. He spoke often of how blessed he was to have such amazing parents.
Recently, Brian attended Christ’s Church of the Valley with Kristin. He was a man that knew God and walked in faith. He prayed daily and wanted to be more like his Savior everyday.
Brian is survived by his love and fiancée, Kristin Budd of Glendale, Arizona; his mother, Carol Lee of Surprise, Arizona; his brother Kevin Lee of Modesto, California; his brother Derek Lee, sister-in-law Kinzie Lee, niece Elyse Lee, nephew Caleb Lee, all of Lilburn, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bob) Lee of Surprise, Arizona
