Celeste Anne Hintz

Celeste Anne Hintz, 59, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on January 8, 2026. She was born in Rantoul, Illinois on May 30, 1966. Celeste graduated from Wickenburg High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Credit Union Accounting from Phoenix College. She married Karl Hintz on December 20, 2013, in Surprise, Arizona.

Celeste had a career as a service manager for Cigna/New York Life. She had a passion for spending time with her family, singing, darts, bowling, playing games, making memories at the cabin, and enjoying her sweet treats!

She is survived by her husband, Karl Hintz; her children, Staci (Daniel) Shaw, Jennifer Corkin, and Alex (Monica) Hintz; her granddaughters, Kayleigh and Ashlynne Shaw; her siblings, Gwendolyn (Robert) Kielblock, Rose (Tom) Riley, and Liz (Ron) Martin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dora Mattos, and her brother, Joey Mattos.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Rd., Surprise, AZ 85374.
