Elmer Joseph Vonfeldt Sr.

VONFELDT, Sr., Elmer Joseph, 88, of Surprise, Arizona, a United States Army Veteran, passed away on August 27, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Vonfeldt and Mary Quint Vonfeldt; his brothers, Harold Vonfeldt and Robert (Karen) Vonfeldt, and his son, Marty (Diane) Von Martin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vonda Henson Vonfeldt; his daughter, Gail (Leroy) Renfro; son, Elmer J. Vonfeldt, Jr.; daughter, Kathleen Abbot; son, Robert D. Martin; and son, Randall "Randy" (Carol) Martin; grandchildren, Whitney (Charlie McWilliams) Renfro, Jennifer (Chase) Messner, Ashley (Ryan Mildon) Renfro, Joseph Renfro, Matthew Renfro, Michael Abbot, Angela (Michael) Miller, Christy Abbot, Eric Martin (Ashleigh), Alicia (Cory) Longsine, Amber (David Howton) Martin, Randall Martin and Shawn Martin; great-grandchildren, Korbin, Calli, Ryli, Royal, Shawnie, Madison, Makenzie, Zachary, Taylor, Michael, Jordyn, Dominick, Gabriella, Corbin, Blake, Jude, and Teagan, and one more on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Vonfeldt; and by his sisters, Helen (Don) Becker, and Patricia Grant. Arrangements under the direction of Surprise Funeral Care, Surprise, Arizona. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 10:30 AM, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, at 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona, 85024, with Hospice of the Valley Chaplain, Mark Knister presiding.
