George James Wolfram passed away from our presence on May 10, 2021. He was taken by ALS, an unexpected and undefeatable and hated enemy.
George was a son, a brother, an uncle, a step-grandfather, and a friend. He was born in and graduated from high school in Albuquerque, NM, and died in Phoenix, AZ at age 61.
His beautiful blue eyes seemed to sparkle more in his last year with us! He was a gentle soul, a very private person, and loved by so many people!
George is survived by Cathy Heiselman, his best friend, and Cathy’s two sons (John and Mike) and granddaughters (Kaitlin and Macayla). He is also survived by his siblings (Karin, Trish, John, Melissa, Pamela – and their spouses) and nieces/nephews (Vicki, Jenae, Nikki, Amber, DJ, Tristan, Rebecca, Waylon, Lexi, Sydney, Knoxville, and Peyton). He was preceded in death by his parents George and Irene, and his nephew John.
George did big-rig trucking for AutoZone for 25+ years. He loved Phoenix and planned to retire here. He loved music from a very young age. And a widely known fact by all of us who loved him is : he loved monkeys! His home was filled with stuffed toy monkeys of every sort. And a little known fact by all of us is: he could be quite the prankster when he decided to be!
George asked to be cremated, with no official services held. His family will have a celebration of his life in June, and we encourage all others to raise a toast to him, and look UP! Because THAT is where his spirit is now…
