Howard Jerome Vaeth

The son of Edward and Marguerite Vaeth, Howard was born in 1938 in Utica, NY. Howard was a graduate of Le Moyne College and John Carroll University.

Howard and his wife of 65 years, Judith Anne Vaeth, raised four children who blessed them with eleven grandchildren. He was very involved in the Wooster, OH community as a member of the Wayneaires Barbershop Chorus, and as a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he sang in the choir. A man of many talents, Howard was also a published cartoonist, poet, and banjo enthusiast.

Howard worked for many years as a polymer chemist and development engineer for Rubbermaid, and later for Little Tykes. He is credited with several patented designs.

Howard was predeceased by his wife, Judith Anne Vaeth. He will be deeply missed by his children: Daniel (Vikki), Andrew, Brian (Maria), and Margaret "Peggy" (Richard); eleven grandchildren; sister, Mary (John) Lopata; and nephew, Dennis (Kelly) Bonsel.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Emily Vaeth and Ryan McBride (belong to Dan and Vikki); Erin Vaeth and Alex Vaeth (belong to Andrew); Kelton Vaeth, Faye Vaeth, Olivia Dal Pra and Sophia Dal Pra (Brian and Maria); and Alayah Withrow, Desiree Withrow and Brooklyn Withrow (belong to Margaret and Richard).
