I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I worked with John at Westerville North during the years it opened. He was such a fun guy, always  smiling and sharing a laugh. My prayers are with you.

What a wonderful supportive and positive influence.  I was one of the lucky ones to have had Mr. Justus as a Principal at both Walnut Springs and Westerville North. I am now teaching in Westerville and am thankful for him showing me how it is supposed to be done.

You were a great man who shaped many young peoples futures including mine....Westerville North '79 Walnut Springs '76....graduated from North as a Junior RIP. Condolences to Family

I met John when he was an assistant principal at Westerville North High School where 4 of my children attended. A lot of times I was the only father attending school activities during the dsy snf John and I would talk. I'll always remember those talks and He always made me feel welcome. Not only do I have special memories and respect for John, but my children also have respect for John and their special memories. He made the world around him a better place.

Sandy, it was a blessing to have John as one of my principals at Walnut Springs and then at Westerville North.  As the first graduating class of WN, it seemed we had the dream team in place with Whitaker, Justus, & McCann.  He always showed much fairness & grace to all students.  It was my pleasure that later you became one of my favorite clients and to be able to do your hair until you & John moved to AZ.  Prayers of peace and comfort to you and your family.

I am so sorry to learn of Mr. Justus' passing. He was such a huge positive influence on me when my neighborhood got redistricted from Blendon to Walnut Springs in our 9th grade year. I'm not sure I would have made that transition successfully without him. Healing thoughts and comfort to his family and friends.

I have such fond memories of Mr. Justus at Walnut Springs and Westerville North! I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are with your family. Know that Mr. Justus was and is very loved!

Mr. Justus was my favorite principal at Walnut Springs Junior High and Westerville North High School.  He played clarinet like I did and was always very supportive of me.  I remember him very well.  Prayers and condolences for his family.

Many New Years Eve gigs with my vice Principal on Sax and me on the Drums in my 26 person Orchestra full of many wonderful musicians, Forest, Sid Townsend, And even one of the Blakley boys on sax, sitting next to John.

I would like to express community thoughts sadness offer our sincere condolences for the entire Justus Family. I remember Mr.J.J. as vice Principal at Walnut Springs, W.N.H.S. Westerville Schools 1971-77, He was a great educator, always good with all students who gave fair justice when needed, always friendly who greeted students with a big smile who attended many activities. John will be missed is in the comfort arms of Jesus, prayers without Ceasing, with deepest Sympathy...

I spent 23 or more years playing Bass, standing beside John in the Sultans dance band. He was a great friend and gifted sax player. We were the same age and spent many hours talking about the problems in Education. He was proud of his children and told us about all their accomplishments. I knew John and his brothers from Roosevelt Junior High School and South High School.I think the family attended Oakwood Methodist Church. I send my condolences.  John's life story tells of another Bulldog who gave much to his family, to his friends, his community and to his church.If we know of the celebration of John's life in the spring, there might be classmates who could attend.
