

A loving husband to his wife Gigi. A father, grandfather and great grandfather. A 32 degree Scottish Rite past master Mason he truly lived a life of brotherly love, generosity and truth. As a Shriner with the New Mexico Ballut Abyad Shriners he was dedicated to providing care for children and families in need. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era.
A dedicated martial artist, he attained 3rd degree black belts in three different styles: Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido and Tai Chi.
Playing no limit hold’m poker tournaments and home games with his buddies was one of his favorite pastimes.
During the 20 years he was a self employed State Farm Insurance agent, he loved to take off on Wednesdays to play golf or go skiing with his wife Gigi. Later, after retiring to Arizona he picked up the game of pickleball and was passionate about being one of the first official referees in the nation. He loved comedy, music, dancing and popcorn!
As a small arms marksman he liked going out to the desert for target shooting. He loved his god and country.
Cruising around the world, experiencing different cultures, countries, peoples, customs and food were his latest passions and he embraced everything with a childlike wonderment. His favorite saying was:”I’m living the dream”. He will live on in the memories we made.
A committal service with military honors for John will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
