Laura Lynn Young

Laura Lynn Young, 42, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on June 05, 2015. Laura was a United States Army Veteran, having served active duty and in the reserves. After attending US Army Officer Candidate School, Laura was promoted to Second Lieutenant in 2001. Laura earned her Masters Degree in Education from Arizona State University in 2006. She was voted Westside Impact Teacher of the Year at Western Peaks Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Glenn Hoard. She is survived by her mother, Cheryl (Robert) Cobb; her daughters, Ashley (Matt) Schnitker, and Abbey Sobelman; her son, Austin Percic; and her husband, William E. Young, Jr; her sister, Carrie Phillips; her niece Faith Phillips, and two "kitties" "Jomax", and "Rocky". Arrangements are entrusted to Surprise Funeral Care. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015, at 10:00 AM, at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Road, Surprise, Arizona, 85374. 623.546.8002.
