Mihai Moisiuc, 68, died on March 16, 2026, at 8:45 pm. A beloved, compassionate, kind-hearted, and loyal man, Mihai was also humorous, adventurous, resilient, selfless, cherished, and brave—qualities that shaped the way he lived and the way he will be remembered. Mihai was a resident of Surprise, Arizona.
Born September 23, 1957, Mihai attended Mining Industrial High School, graduating in 1977. He went on to become a professional photographer, a craft that reflected both his eye for detail and his deep appreciation for life’s moments. In 2022, he fulfilled a dream of becoming a pilot, a testament to his adventurous spirit and determination.
Mihai served in the Romanian Army for nine months. Over the years, he worked in professional television, trucking, and as an entrepreneur—approaching each chapter with resilience and a willingness to do what was needed for his family and future. Mihai and his family moved to the United States in August of 2002, beginning a new chapter.
In 1984, Mihai married Elisabeta Deac. Together they built a family that remained at the center of his life. He was the proud father of Cosmin Razvan Moisiuc, and a loving brother to Petru Moisiuc. In 2019, his son married Luiza, and Mihai’s joy grew even more with the arrival of his grandchildren, Emma and Edward Moisiuc.
Photography and flying were among Mihai’s greatest passions, but nothing mattered more to him than time with family. He cherished family gatherings and found simple happiness in favorite routines—taking his grandkids to the library and to parks, creating memories that will be held close for years to come.
Mihai was known for helping others in their most vulnerable moments, leaving what his family describes as a “heart print” in the lives he touched. He also had a gift for bringing laughter wherever he went—always ready with a joke, always able to light up a room. He was the kind of person who would call just to check in, simply because he cared. He loved his mother dearly and always visited her in Romania, honoring that bond with devotion and constancy.
