Peggy loved the Lord deeply, and her faith remained unwavering—even in her final breaths and final movement. Her love for the Lord shaped who she was: compassionate, selfless, and generous. Peggy lived as a true example of love in action—the kind of love God intends for us to show one another.
She had a special tenderness for children. Even in her sickest moments, she simply wanted to hug and kiss them. Her warmth and affection made people feel safe, valued, and deeply loved. She was the one who would do anything for anyone, never hesitating to give of herself.
Peggy will also be lovingly remembered for the simple joys she cherished—her Diet Coke, her fried chicken, and her Burrito Supremes—and for the way she made even ordinary moments meaningful through her faith and love.
Peggy is survived by her son Jesse Heineken; her daughter-in-law Jessica Heineken; and her grandchildren Caleb Heineken and Alexis Portillo.
A service will be held in April, followed by a private interment of ashes with family.
