MENKE, Robert Odell, 93, Major, United States Air Force, Retired, passed away on December 26, 2018 in Sun City West, Arizona. Robert was born to Otto J. Menke and Elsie Wallace Menke on March 31, 1925 in Akron, Ohio. Robert served as a bomber pilot (B-17, B-29, and B-47) in World War II and the Korean War. Robert and Mildred Anna-Kathryn Bean Menke were married for 72 years. In 1963, when Robert retired from the USAF, he and Mildred resided in Tijeras Canyon, Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1996, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and resided there until January 2018, when they relocated to Sun City West, Arizona. Services were held on January 17, 2019 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
