Maclean, Alastair Orr born November 13, 1936 in New Westminster, BC passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 28, 2015 in White
Rock, BC. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Helen, his sons Cameron (Jessica) and Craig (Cara), his 5 grandchildren Sydney, Connor, Cole, Gavin
and Graeme, his brother Ian (Norma); nieces, nephews, and a loving extended family, special friends Ron (Marilyn) Rebagliati; his long-time poker group,
and many colleagues and friends from his teaching/administration career in Langley School District.Predeceased by his twin sister Eleanor.
Alastair was a loving husband and father who had a passionate drive for life, a wonderful sense of humor, a positive attitude, and an engaging spirit. A master at improvisation and observation, Alastair was a welcoming soul who didn't miss a beat. There was never a puzzle or problem he couldn't figure out in 38 seconds.
He was involved in numerous sports throughout his lifetime excelling in running, swimming, and basketball at competitive levels. Later, the game of golf became his passion. In his love for family and zest for life, he was not always right, but never wrong. His life motto was: "You have to care." You were one of a kind.
