

Alice found fulfillment in and excelled at taking care of her family in the role of homemaker. Alice was also artistically creative and enjoyed sewing. For many years she had her own home-based business as a seamstress and for a time worked as a retail sales clerk in a number of fabric stores and a candy store.
Among her family and friends Alice was known for her loving and sweet nature. She will be greatly missed.
Alice was born in Drake, Saskatchewan on November 16, 1939. As a young girl in 1950 she moved west with her family settling on a farm in Langley BC. In her younger years Alice helped with the chores around the farm both in the house and in the fields. In 1958, she married her sweetheart Pat Giesbrecht. Their first son Peter was born a year later in 1959 and their second son Douglas was born in 1962.
Alice is survived by her husband Pat, her sons Peter (Wilma) and Doug, her sisters Lenore Peters, Elsie Karl and Dorothy (Ray) Marshall and her brothers Ben (Cathy) Penner and Les (Glenda) Penner. She is predeceased by her parents Julius and Annie her sister Agnes (late Lawrence) Nickel and brother Rudy Penner (survived by Evelyn).
A memorial service will be held at First Memorial Fraser Heights Chapel February 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
