Andrew McDonald, age 59, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026, at Melville Hospice Home, following a cancer diagnosis six weeks prior.
Andrew was a devoted father to his three daughters, Jessica, Amber, and Laura. He shared 34 years of life and family with Shannon McDonald, including 29 years of marriage.
He is lovingly remembered by his friends and family, including his mother, Gwen Evjen, his father, Larrie McDonald, his sister, Dawn Adair, brother-in-law, David Adair, nieces, Mackenzie and Cahleigh, and nephew, Kaiden.
Andrew had a lifelong love for the outdoors, which inspired a passion for sailing in his younger years. Over the years, he found great fulfillment in woodworking and building things by hand, as well as coaching and supporting his daughters’ soccer teams. He loved his cats, Jasper and Juniper, who brought companionship and joy to his life.
Andrew will be remembered for his kind, welcoming, and friendly nature, his love of family, and the memories he leaves behind with all who knew him.
