It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Angela Dawn Stiles-Bodkin. Angela was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on September 1st, 1965, the second daughter of Gail and Austin Stiles and the younger sister to Sharon. She grew up figure skating in the organization her mother created; later teaching the next generation how to glide on the ice. After graduating from Saint Mary’s University, Angela became an insurance adjuster, a career that would span over 30 years.
She moved to British Columbia in the early 1990s, where she had her daughter, Lexxie and later met her husband, Jeff. She loved the coastlines and beaches of both coasts, always enjoying sunsets when she had the chance.
She died peacefully on February 7th, 2026 in Surrey, British Columbia after a hard 1.5 year fight with cancer. She dedicated her life to being a mother, wife, friend and living to the fullest. She volunteered at Girl Guide camps, providing delicious meals for other volunteers (always with a theme, of course). Her hobbies included cycling hundreds of kilometers on her road bike, traveling the world with her daughter, camping, puzzles, beach days, wine tours with friends and experiencing as much as possible.
Angela’s legacy of humor, a strong-willed attitude, and positive energy will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her remarkable life touched many people and will forever be an inspiration to live life to the fullest as tomorrow is never promised.
Angela will be greatly missed and forever remember by many.
In Lieu of flowers, donations made me made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
