Annie Stevens

Annie was born in McCreary, Manitoba to Alexander and Katherine Potrebka.She headed west to Vancouver, BC at a young age where she made her life.

Annie made countless trips back to Manitoba to visit her large family. She worked as an office clerk for many years and supported herself and child. Annie was a hard worker with a passion for gardening. She rarely sat still.

Annie loved entertaining and spending time with family. She will be missed by her numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Katherine Potrebka and all her siblings Walter Potrebka, John Patrick, Stephen Patrick, Marie Potrebka and Tara Budolowski.

Above all, Annie was a devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy was her family. She was always there with a listening ear, wise advice, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by husband Art Bowden, son Patrick Stevens and Marlene, step children Brent Bowden, Marian Keyland and Stuart, grandchildren Keira Stevens, Danene and Matt Esposito, Lauren and Logen DeBruynne, Jordan Carpenter and Natalie Steffen, Gina Carpenter-Neal and Keffri Neal as well as her great-grandchildren Wyatt Esposito, Atlas Carpenter-Steffen, Sola Carpenter-Steffen and Kai Carpenter-Neal.

There will not be a celebration of life as per Annie's request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice

Feel no guilt in laughter, she’d know how much you care.

Feel no sorrow in a smile that she is not here to share.

You cannot grieve forever; she would not want you to.

She’d hope that you could carry on the way you always do.

So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,

The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.

Let memories surround you. A word someone may say

Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,

That brings her back as clearly as though she were still here,

And fills you with the feeling that she is always near.

For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart

And she will live forever locked safely within your heart.
